Induction Dynamics has revolutionized custom in-wall speakers - traditionally considered a lower quality design meant for consumers more interested in looks than sound. The best of both worlds combine in Induction Dynamics elegant in-wall speakers, providing audiophile quality sound in a package that both audiophiles and interior designers will appreciate.
The key is in Induction Dynamics. patented S4X™ crossover. In addition to providing strict controlover driver performance, the S4X. revolutionary design involves placing coils close together to utilize their interaction in a positive way. This reduces thecircuitry space requirements, which is essential in an in-wall design, and allows us to use the same crossover circuitry in our in-walls as we use in our freestanding speakers.
Another difficulty in creating high-end in-walls is that the weight of high quality components cannot be carried by the drywall they're mounted to; they can also cause vibrations and shake loose over time. Induction Dynamics has solved this problem with a patented Stud-Grabber™ mounting system.
Our in-walls attach directly to the wall studs for vibration-free performance that won't bend or crack your walls. Stud-Grabbers also make leveling and depth adjustments easy, and can be installed during construction or retrofitted into an existing home.
Induction Dynamics in-wall speakers are housed in sealed, heavy-duty, one-piece aluminum enclosures with a patented rubber gasket suspension system, ensuring consistent high-quality sound while eliminating vibration and dry wall damage. Our in-wall subwoofers incorporate patented springs into the suspension system, enabling them to handle the strong motion of heavy drivers.
Because all of our speakers are sonically matched, in-walls can be mixed and matched with on-wall, bookshelf, and freestanding speakers to create your own custom system.
Every Induction Dynamics in-wall is also available in an on-wall model. In-walls are available in black satin, black gloss, rosewood gloss, or your own custom finish.

Beautifully finished in-walls produce a rich surround sound without taking up floor space. To the left and right of the video screen, two S1.iw's function as mains while a C1.iw fills in the center channel from below the screen. On the side wall, an S2.iw offers surround sound and an SW4.iw produces deep bass.

The ID1.iw features a 3-way speaker plus dual 10. subwoofers in a single baffle. The two subwoofers pump rich, distortion-free bass from a dedicated back box, while the woofer, tweeter, and mid-range driver provide crystalclear sound from their own cabinet. The lightweight back boxes come as one unit which mounts directly to the studs in the wall, or on the wall using Induction Dynamics' low profile, custom-painted B1 box. Once the back box assembly has been installed, the speaker's one-piece baffle with pre-installed drivers is simply bolted to the front. Two ID1.iw's produce a powerful stereo sound, or can be used as the front left and right channels (plus subwoofers) in a surround-sound home theater system.

The S1C1.iw solves the problem of locating a center channel loudspeaker so that the sound images from the center. Often, users are forced to place the center speaker too high or too low in the room, making dialogue sound like it is coming from the wrong location. The S1C1.iw acts as two loudspeakers, with the top half being the standard right or left channel and the bottom half as the center. When the lower halves of two S1C1.iw speakers are wired in parallel, the audience will hear center channel sound coming directly from the viewing screen. As with the ID1.iw, this model can be mounted in-wall or on-wall, and is available in rosewood gloss, black gloss, and black satin finishes, or choose a custom finish for your own individual look.
