Induction Dynamics subwoofer's specifications show TRUE low-frequency response values. These are measured using close-miked and outdoor ground plane techniques that are free from measurement distortion caused by room reflections. Speaker manufactures that claim their subwoofers can reach the lowest points in the sonic spectrum typically use specifications that overstate deep bass capability by 10-20 Hz*.
Induction Dynamics' SW1 subwoofer features dual, high-resolution drivers mounted in a compound push-pull configuration, which significantly reduces distortion, improves bass control and allows two drivers to act as a single driver with double the mass and double the motor strength. This unique configuration enables the SW1 to produce the full-bass spectrum with high resolution while using an enclosure only half the size required by a single driver.
